Friends Of Ours Cooperative is a Nevada-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to helping seniors bridge the digital divide through free smart device education, online safety training, fraud prevention, and ongoing digital support.

We believe technology should empower—not overwhelm.

Our mission is to make technology simple, safe, and accessible for older adults, no matter their experience level or financial situation.

We provide free, hands-on digital learning experiences for seniors across Nevada—including at Clark County libraries, community centers, senior living facilities, and trusted public locations.

Our programs include:

• Phones, tablets, and everyday tech made easy
• Hands-on learning in small group sessions
• Step-by-step guidance, real examples, and follow-along worksheets

• How to avoid phone, email, and text scams
• Protecting personal information online
• Social media safety for grandparents

• Personalized assistance and one-on-one help
• Device setup, password help, and accessibility settings
• Safe browsing, video calling, and essential apps

To make learning friendly, relatable, and engaging, Friends Of Ours created five illustrated senior ambassadors who represent real challenges seniors face in the digital world:

Ambassador Specialist Shirley – “The Social Connector”Texting, voice messaging, family apps, social media

Frank – “The Gadget Grandpa”Device setup, wearables, smartwatches, digital accessories

George – “The Cyber Coach”Smart home devices, cloud storage, organizing apps

Evelyn – “The Hearing Helper”Accessibility settings, adaptive devices, hearing tech

A 12-lesson foundational program designed to help seniors master their devices confidently, safely, and independently. Includes:

Participants who complete all 12 classes earn an Intermediate Digital Learner Certificate.
