Programs, Projects and Underwriting Overview
Friends Of Ours Cooperative is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to improving digital literacy, online safety, and technology access for seniors throughout Clark County, Nevada. Our programs provide structured education, printed learning resources, and ongoing support that empower older adults to safely use modern technology and protect themselves from online fraud.
Underwriting directly funds the delivery of these programs and ensures that seniors can access education, tools, and support without financial barriers.
Core Programs and Projects
Digital Infrastructure
Our digital infrastructure serves as the central access point for seniors, caregivers, volunteers, and community partners. The Friends Of Ours website provides class schedules, educational resources, safety guidance, and program access information.
This infrastructure ensures that seniors and their families can locate services, access learning materials, and remain connected to educational opportunities.
Underwriting supports website hosting, maintenance, accessibility improvements, and ongoing resource availability.
This digital platform extends our reach beyond the classroom and allows continuous community access to educational support.
Sip • Carry • Wear Community Impact Campaign
Sip • Carry • Wear is a structured community impact campaign that supports the operational infrastructure behind our educational programs.
Carry tote bags are used to distribute educational manuals and learning resources to seniors. These materials travel into homes, libraries, and community spaces, extending the reach of our programs.
Wear volunteer support uniforms provide identification, professionalism, and visibility for instructors and volunteers, ensuring safe and effective class delivery.
Sip donor engagement tools help sustain long-term educational programming by strengthening supporter engagement.
Underwriting this campaign directly supports educational resource distribution and volunteer instructional infrastructure.
Senior Learning Manual Program
The Friends Of Ours Senior Smart Device Learning Manual provides seniors with clear, accessible instruction on using smartphones, tablets, and digital tools safely.
Each manual includes guidance on device navigation, online safety, fraud prevention, communication tools, and accessibility features.
Manuals are distributed during classes and serve as permanent reference guides that seniors can use independently.
Underwriting supports the production, printing, and distribution of these manuals, ensuring that seniors have access to structured, reliable learning resources.
Each manual represents a permanent educational asset for the senior who receives it.
Senior Tech 101 Educational Classes
Senior Tech 101 classes provide live, instructor-led digital literacy education in small-group settings. Classes are designed to equip seniors with the knowledge and confidence needed to safely use modern technology.
Instruction covers:
Each class serves approximately 5–15 seniors and provides educational manuals and learning resources to support continued learning.
These classes are delivered throughout the year in libraries and community spaces across Clark County.
Underwriting directly funds class delivery, educational materials, instructor support, and resource kit distribution.
Underwriting Expectations and Structure
